My Story

In April 2027, I'll be running the London Marathon for Mind, in memory of my amazing brother Anthony.

Running this marathon is about more than reaching the finish line. I'm doing it to raise awareness of mental health, support Mind and help others find the support they need when they need it.

I want to keep the conversation going, help break the stigma and remind people that it's okay to ask for help.

I'm running for a brighter future, for more conversations, more support and in memory of my brother Anthony. ๐Ÿ’œ

Running in memory of Anthony

Anthony was just 22 years old. He was the most outgoing, happy person, always joking, making people laugh and going out with his friends. He was full of life, and nobody would have suspected that behind that happy exterior, he was struggling with his mental health.

That's one of the hardest things to understand about mental health. We can see someone smiling, laughing and enjoying life, without knowing what they might be going through inside.

Not everyone feels able to open up to their family or friends. Sometimes it's easier to speak to someone outside your own circle, somewhere you can be honest about how you're feeling without worrying about upsetting the people you love or being judged.

That's why Mind is so important to me. I want people to know that there is somewhere they can turn, that they don't have to face things alone, and that it's okay to ask for help even when finding the words feels impossible.

I'm running the London Marathon in memory of Ant because I want to do something positive in his name. I can't change what happened to my brother, but I can help raise awareness, support Mind and encourage people to reach out.

Ant will always be so much more than the way we lost him. He was funny, outgoing, happy and loved. He was my brother, and I will carry his memory with me every step of the way. ๐Ÿ’œ
